![]() ![]() This is a service I want and it isn't being provided. The bottom line is they're still being far more permissive than they have to be by taking a pretty chill stance on music uploads in general and only giving a soft-touch informal warning in this case.Īs a customer it is fine to go "Hey. However if that's the case it is their bone-headed mistake to make. Maybe it's kind of bone-headed and they could be making tons of money on digital sales & streams of their music. That's just the nature of the works being their private property. They are entitled to sell or distribute their work in the form they choose and at the price they want. We're not entitled to consume their work when & how we want to. People give the devs a lot of harsh words, but i just wanted to say they aren't just doing it for the money and they have the same passion as us players. ![]() The current UI lead also said "I brought you into something terrible, so at least let me support you all the way". ![]() Shirasugi was surprisingly satisfied with Yoshida's answer and decided to accept the offer. Shirasugi said "How the heck do you expect me to do something i've never done before", but Yoshida responded and said "I've never been a producer nor a director either, so you can do it too". Shirasugi said no at first, but the touching story continues. Yoshida noticed his passion and even though Shirasugi was a dev member and not from the adevertisement team, Yoshida asked him if he wanted to use his passion to adevertise FFXIV 2.0. Shirasugi got kicked out of the CEO's room and he was suspended and got told to rest for a week. This guy's name is Shirasugi and he thought the company gave up on FFXIV and brought some random guy to take down the game down with him, since nobody was sure who Yoshida was. SE decided to give him control without telling the dev team beforehand, but one of the dev members (Current head of the advertisement apartment) charged into the CEO's room and screamed at him and said "That's dirty to bring someone outside of the team, just for the sake of making him take responsibility for the game's failure". He said the majority of the FFXIV team didn't even know Yoshida and most of them were depressed. When they decided to rebuild FFXIV, Yoshida still remembers to this day, how Soken instantly said "yes!!" when Yoshida told the dev team they were rebuilding FFXIV. Right before patch 4.2 released, he had a twitch stream with NGC and talked about FFXIV at a restaurant. Yoshida told us a cool story about when they decided to rebuild ffxiv 1.0. Soken still composes for this game with passion alone. This was a problem in FFXI as well and most of the composers apart from Mizuta left SE to create their own company for their own music. The same goes to Soken's music and the company takes all the money instead of giving him a certain percentage of the sales. Like Yoshida said in his "Yoshida uncensored" book, Yoshida doesn't gain a single cent/yen, no matter how many books they sold. SE is a really smart company when it comes to taking all the money and not distributing it.
